I have found my forever career in AmeriPlan, and I am so excited to have reached RSD status!
I have an eclectic set of credentials and experience in my past. I have done investigations, tracking down bad guys who didn't want to be found. Trolling through dark alleys of Cincinnati, Lexington, and Louisville. I have owned and actively worked a repo and towing business, pushing through the male-oriented business ceiling to capture contracts from lending institutions, which had always employed men before. Hear me roar! My educational background is in business
management/administration and accounting, and I have had interesting jobs in corporate offices of two major national hospital chains, collection agencies, and a few other corporations.
No matter where I have worked, I have worked hard and made my way. I also always struggled with the fact that I had children and a husband who rarely saw me. Mommy guilt is excruciating! When my 4 kids were small, I even opened a daycare in our home, so I could stay home and help pay the bills at the same time. I always seem to come back to being my own boss, and working in a job that friends and family don't understand. With my business education, they wondered why I would want to stay
home and do "daycare". With me being a mother and wife, they wondered why I would want to do investigations or repossessions, putting myself in danger. I was good at what I was doing, I was careful and prepared for what might happen, and I knew I was alright. Cincinnati Police still call me "Dawg" after a high-speed chase that they assisted on one night!
The short answer is that I am a rebel. The longer answer is that I am a person who is independent and happy and mostly fearless and needs a challenge. In walks AmeriPlan, to fill all of those check boxes for me. I saw what it was, and instantly knew this was for me. I could help struggling families to save money, help parents come home to their kids (a personal tender spot in my heart), and there was no limit on how far I could grow my business.
This is real, and I live by intuition, and I know this a great way for me to be fulfilled in career and financial freedom. I will build a comfortable retirement for my husband and me, after all of the years he has been supporting me, even after he had a major medical scare.
My husband needs to come home and be with me, and he is so excited and supportive about my new adventure. By reaching RSD level, I have built a foundation to expand upon. I think of my business as a tree. I want to not only grow my team tall and proud, but I want the branches to spread far and wide and strong. I want the roots to grow deep and spread out as far as they can go. Each branch, limb, and root needs love and care, so it can grow to be old and wise and beautiful. I am watching those
who have gone before me in this business, to learn the ways they have supported their teams and grown their business. My kids are grown, independent, and successful in their own right, but they are beginning to snoop around to see what I am doing. They all inherited my free spirit, so maybe one or more of them will be working toward RSD someday.
I know what I am doing. I know what an incredible opportunity this is. I am here to stay, and I have no ceiling on my aspirations for greatness!
