My name is Stella Gavarret Peterson. I am originally from Uruguay. I was a teacher most of my life. This brought me to the United States in 1974 in a
cultural exchange program. I was a teacher's aide in a Junior High in Charleston, West Virginia. In 1977 I married an Arizonian and we raised 3 boys and a girl. I home schooled my kids until 6th grade. Then I was a substitute teacher for several years until I started at the public library as a homework helper and at the computer lab. This love of teaching is what attracted me to Ameriplan. When my daughter Elsa told me about the company, I was interested right away. It was hard going at the
beginning because I didn't have any experience with phone talking. Slowly I learned how to do it and now I enjoy it and have gotten more confident at it. My daughter and my husband were great supporters from the beginning. My husband would have joined Ameriplan if it wasn't for his medical condition. He passed away on March 5, 2017. Spanish is my first language, so I feel that I have an advantage, especially in this part of the country. I am really happy to have finally reached this goal
as an RSD and I am very excited to continue to help others and keep growing my business. I am also grateful to my daughter and to Kelly O'Donnell for their help and support.
