Wow. It still feels unreal that I have hit my first promotion as RSD with this wonderful company. When I enrolled that tenth piece of business I had a flood of different feelings all at once. I had so much joy that I couldn't help myself from crying and laughing at the same time. I could feel the victory of success for the first time in my life.
I will never forget my first RSD Boot Camp. It was the best training ever! During my training I learned persistence, commitment, steadfastness and focus, and I learned how to overcome obstacles. I learned to do something productive towards my business every day. Even on the hard days when it seemed like nothing was happening I chose to stay positive and speak positively over myself and my business. And I have
always known that God would lead me.
I have worked outside of my home since I was fifteen years old. The only time I didn't work was when I was having children, and then I stayed home for a few years with each of them. When I turned 35 years old and my children were growing up I started regretting the time I missed being home with my children. I felt like the world was raising them instead of me. I started thinking about what it would be like
if I could have my own business and stay home with my children. So I started with Mary Kay for a while and I wasn't very good at approaching people I didn't know, and my family didn't want to hear it. So then I started Echoes Perfume and had the same problem. Then I started another business and actually made money for a while. Then my team fell apart and so did my pay check. So as you see, for me to look into another business opportunity seemed impossible.
In 2008 my husband was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma in stage 4, and was told they would do what they could but he probably wouldn't make it until Christmas. My world felt like it was falling apart. I had to be strong not just for my husband, but for my whole family. I was overwhelmed with emotion, but I still had to work. My husband couldn't work anymore as he was a truck driver. Well God chose
to keep him here, praise God! Then later he had three heart attacks; The first in the widow-maker. Needless to say he is now on disability and can't work.
In 2011 my father had an accident and was in the hospital for 21 days before he passed. My boss at the time seemed irritated every time I called in and said I wouldn't be at work that day. That is when I started rethinking starting my own business again. I was tired of having to ask for "permission" for the day to stay with my sick father, or child or husband.
Then my precious daughter was diagnosed with a rare breast cancer called, Inflammatory Breast Cancer. Only one percent out of one hundred percent of breast cancers have this diagnosis. The treatment is still experimental and is the deadliest of all the breast cancers. It spread throughout my daughter's body and she was always in surgery for something. She has even lost a small part of her brain as they
removed a tumor there. So she lives with me along wither her two sons. I was still working, and my heart was breaking. It was time to change...
I started searching the internet for work from home businesses again. I looked for almost five months and saw a lot of scams, some were just a lot of money up front, and most all of them still had you going out to recruit and sell a lot. I have nothing against these types of businesses because there is success with them. But they don’t work for me. When I saw AmeriPlan and started to research the company
I saw that it was a health benefits company. Everyone needs that! And I didn't have to follow people around, do home parties and I didn't have to work outside of my home. This is exactly what I needed, for me! So I spoke with my enroller, Maria Rappa, and started my journey on September 1st, 2015. I started, afraid. I had failed at the other businesses. I was always shy and the phone fear I had in the beginning was terrible. But I heard in one of the trainings to “do it
afraid." And to be honest I still "do it afraid." But I do it.
Hitting my first promotion as Regional Sales Director helps me to see what my future is going to be like. I will have the finances to stay with my family, to enjoy them, to travel, to be a blessing to those in need, and to have the freedom I have always desired.
I want to thank Maria Rappa for always being there for me. I emailed her all the time, called her and no matter when I contacted her she always got back with me to help me succeed. I have found that in AmeriPlan, our leaders truly care for us. We are not just a ticket to "their" success. We ALL matter, we ALL succeed.
I thank God for leading me to AmeriPlan. There isn't another business like this out there!
